Pforzheim – 09.11.2016. KRAMSKI announces the cooperation with Ruan de Smidt as official brand ambassador for the KRAMSKI Group. The golf professional trained with Wiestaw Kramski already in February at the golf resort Fancourt in South Africa. Ever since, he conquers the Order of Merit of the South African Sunshine Tour with the KRAMSKI Putters in his bag.
Ruan de Smidt is without doubt one of the great ones at this year's Sunshine Tour: he is among the top 20; he has a total of ten Top 10 rankings of which eight were achieved in ten consecutive tournaments; he won twice within three weeks; and he is birdie leader. His debut at the pro tour was in 2012 after he had won the Sunshine Tour Qualifying School in the previous year. In his first season, he achieved three top 3 rankings and completed his first hole in one. At the Suncoast Classic Tournament, he eventually managed his first win as a Sunshine Tour Rookie. A success he was able to repeat in November 2015 at the Nedbank Affinity Cup. During this season, he achieved two wins: at the Sun Carnival City Challenge in September (11 under par) and at the Sun Boardwalk Challenge in October (13 under par). If the 27-year-old manages to keep up his pace, the South African pro will have a shining future and steep career ahead of himself – with a KRAMSKI Putter in his bag.
Numerous other engagements left aside, the KRAMSKI Group has also been active in golf sports for years. Being an absolutely precise sport, golf ideally represents the core values and fundamentals of the family business from Baden-Wuerttemberg. Born in 1989 in Krugerdorp, South Africa, Ruan de Smift now joins the ranks of the other KRAMSKI Group brand ambassadors: Florian Fritsch (GER), Dominic Foos (GER), Tjaart van der Walt (RSA), Michael Palmer (RSA), Kiran Matharu (GB), and Ann-Kathrin Lindner (GER). Since February 2013, KRAMSKI is the official title sponsor of the KRAMSKI German Golf League (germ.: Deutsche Golf Liga – DGL).
